Visionaire FX is a totally integrated home entertainment package complete with:
Interior Design
Plug & Play Electronics
Installation by Owens Corning sound professionals

How do I buy Visionaire FX?
Visionaire FX is sold through local builders. Contact your local builder and ask them how to include a Visionaire FX package in your home.

Where is Visionaire FX available?

Nationwide. We have a network of 15 home theater installers located around the country. They are presently doing 1 home theater room per day and most have done about 15-20 theaters. We are rapidly moving to a franchisee distribution channel for local servicing in all major metropolitan areas.

How long does it take to get a Visionaire FX system?
The standard lead-time is 10 weeks. This includes the finalization of the design, assembly of the architectural components, consolidation of all the parts, shipping to the home and a few days of installation.

Owens Corning makes pink insulation; what experience do they have in home theaters?

You are right. Owens Corning is the world leader in insulation and other building materials and our products are in over 95% of the homes in the United States. Owens Corning worked with leading home theater manufacturers and Theo Kalomirakis - the "Father of Home Theater" - on the development of Visionaire FX. Visionaire FX is simply the next step in the evolution of home theaters.

Sometimes it is hard for me to understand conversation during a movie in my untreated home theater. Why?

Without the sort of acoustic control that is provided by Visionaire FX, the frequencies of sound in the movie dialogue can be overwhelmed by the sound frequencies occurring in the rest of the movie soundtrack.

Electronics
What kind of electronics are available?
We have teamed with Harman/Kardon and JBL for the amplifier/receiver, DVD player and surround sound speaker systems. There are 70-watt and 100-watt systems available that are matched to our room treatment and sizes.

The video projection uses Digital Light Processing™ technology (DLP). DLP™ is the latest technology in home theater projection and until recently was unaffordable for all but the most elaborate home theaters. The Visionaire FX™ DLP™ projector video processor is made by the same company that manufactures for most of the leading brands.

Are there different electronic options?
Understand that the base room package is very good. This includes the latest in home theater projectors (called Digital Light Processing--DLP™) as well as a very good JBL/Harman/Kardon surround sound system. There are upgrades available that provide:
Brighter and clearer images on the screen
More power, more bass, more impact from the speakers / amplifiers
Additional features for the DVD
Better touchscreen remote control system

I have a satellite TV system. How does it connect?
There are inputs available for satellite TV and cable through the VCR. Also, the amplifier / receiver accepts inputs from video games.

Why didn’t you buy all the electronic components from one supplier?
Actually we worked with Harman International on integrating two of their world class brands:
JBL for the speakers and Harman/Kardon for the amplifier/receiver and DVD

The video is from a company that specializes in making the best DLP™ systems. They are licensed by Texas Instruments whose patented Digital Micromirror Device™ is the heart of the projection system. We believe this offers the best combination of performance and value.

Can I use my own electronics?
Visionaire FX was designed for plug and play and ease of use. The electronics were selected to work in conjunction with the overall design of the room. Introducing other components that have not met the quality standards could detract from the home theater experience. If you already have electronics we suggest you contact a local audio dealer who can create a custom home theater for you.

Seating
What are my seating choices?
Standard seating configuration is two rows of three seats.
Traditional style theater seats are standard
Sofa style seating available in a range of fabrics including leather and vinyl
Recliners are available for front row of seats

Architecture & Installation
Can the theater be customized to different room sizes?
We have two standard room sizes that have passed our architectural, acoustical and aesthetic criteria:
13' 1" x 19' 0"
15' 1" x 21' 9"

Room heights from a minimum of 7' 8" through 10' high.

However, we can also accommodate additional selected room sizes within the following ranges:

13' - 16' wide
18' - 24' long

What is required to prepare the area for a Visionaire FX system? Is it complicated?
No, it is not complicated at all. With the plug and play surface mount concept, your builder does minimal site preparation. A short synopsis for the builder is:
1. Install electrical outlets and the track lighting.
2. Paint the walls and ceiling to match the Visionaire FX design.
3. Install the floor covering.
4. Incorporate noise control measures as required.

How long does an installation take?
It depends upon the features and the room sizes chosen, but a typical installation takes 2 days after the materials arrive at your home.
