Builder Room Preparation Overview for Visionaire FX™

This is intended as a brief description of the builder’s responsibilities for constructing and finishing the Visionaire FX™ Personal Entertainment Center room prior to the Visionaire FX installation by Owens Corning. Details are contained in the Builder Design Guide. All installation related to room preparation is the responsibility of the builder. Unless specifically noted, all materials are to be provided by the builder.

Electrical


All A/C power installation (locations per Builder Design Guide) including the following:

Standard room outlets per code
One dedicated 20-amp dual-gang outlet with isolated ground
One dedicated 20-amp single-gang outlet with isolated ground
One or two circuit, track lighting tracks (Visionaire FX provided), fixtures (Visionaire FX provided) and dimmer switches (Visionaire FX provided)

Shell Finish


Wall and ceiling surfaces are to be gypsum wallboard with Gypsum Association recommendation GA-214-96 level 5 finish and painted with Visionaire FX specified paint.
Visionaire FX specified baseboard molding installed and painted with Visionaire FX specified paint.
Walls, floors, ceilings and doors shall be plumb, true and square. At each column location, the wall must be straight within 1/8" over its entire height.

Doors


All room doors must be solid core, single leaf, flush mount and sealed for sound with no visible frame.



Flooring


Material Style / Color Installation

Mechanical


HVAC meets existing local codes
Paint all registers and electrical outlets to match surface color

Structural


Room is constructed to Visionaire FX standard size and incorporates appropriate noise control measures.
